About Us Ministries Music
The Music Ministry strives to achieve excellence in the presentation of songs, hymns, and anthems in support of worship service at Chantilly Baptist Church. We recognize the importance of music and praise in the worship experience and as worship leaders strive to create an environment where the glory of the Lord will fill the house of God. It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord saying, For He is good; for His mercy endureth forever --that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord. So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God. (2 Chronicles 5:13,14)
back to top of page Our Spiritual objective is to support the vision, ministries, and programs of the Pastor and the auxiliaries of the church; and to continue to grow in our knowledge of God and the principles of His Word. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15.
back to top of page Music is selected that is biblically correct. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another, in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16 In all of its activities, the Music Ministry gives honor and glory to God. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Rev 4:11
back to top of page The Music Ministry comprises several choral groups that provide a variety of sacred music styles and fellowship experiences. Although there is diversity in age, from 4 years old to 90 years young, there is the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. As a member of the Music Ministry, each person should recognize our dual calling. First, we are called to be followers of Christ (Ephesians 4:1) and then we are also called to a specific ministry through music. If you feel that you have that specific calling, visit the various choral groups to see where you would like to serve. back to top of page Bro.
